摘要
Integrated disease and pest management measures were applied in protected cultivations in the western region of Libya during three growing seasons from 2003 to 2005. The measures used included: Soil solarization, insect proof net, plastic soil mulching, insect sticky trap cards, plant pruning and training, sanitation, quality transplants in nurseries. Results indicated that applications of these tactics were effective for controlling soil inhabiting and air borne pathogens and pests, thus reducing pesticides contamination of the produce, decreasing quantities of water requirement for irrigation. Increasing quantity and improving quality of produce, the results argued authorities or decision makers in agriculture to appliance the program partially or completely in 16 hectares of protective cultivation in western regions of Libya.
