摘要：

The electronic system planned for use in the electromagnetic calorimeter of the CMS experiment at the LHC is briefly reviewed, with an emphasis on the on-detector front-end readout chain. Description, results and developments which remain outstanding concerning the different components of the readout chain of the PbWO4 crystals ( preamplifier, floating point unit, ade and transportation of digitized data) are presented together with the first beam data of a complete prototype.
