Preparation of high surface area mesoporous activated carbon fiber and its adsorption properties of sulfides from light oil

摘要
In this work, the adsorption properties of organosulfur by different activated carbon fibers that loaded with nickel, copper and molybdenum oxides were investigated. The results showed that the pore structure could affect the adsorption capacity of organosulfur. The higher pore volume of 1-10 nm was, the more organosulfur adsorbed was. The activated carbon fibers loaded with copper, nickel and molybdenum nitrates heat-treated at 600 degrees C displayed higher adsorption capacity, and strong interaction may be formed between metal oxides and organosulfur.
