In order to take advantage of modern technology and new learning environments in schools, it is important that students are exposed to optimal examples and good daily practice during their teacher education (TE). It is fairly simple to demonstrate and train technical skills as well as theoretical ideas and methods for the use of available equipment. But it is much harder to practice real integration of technology into subject matters, integration that enriches the learning potential. At a TE institution where ICT in Learning has been in focus for more than three decades, at all levels from introductory courses to Master programmes, there is still a great challenge to obtain real integration in the different subject courses. In this paper the experiences of a dedicated leader of the ICT programmes at the college since 1983, who in 2014 returned to his initial profession as a Physics professor, where he tried to practice what he had been preaching about the benefits of ICT in Learning. A central goal was to practice "Campus Based e-Learning" in a limited part of the Physics curriculum for first year TE students. Plans, running and evaluation of the course are presented along with conclusions and recommendations for revision and further development.
