摘要
Waves which break over submerged breakwaters are of a different type than those that on a the slope. In this report, we apply the Finite Element Method (FEM, Takikawa et al.,1983) and the Simplified Marker and Cell (SMAC, Amsden and Harlow,1970) method to breaking waves over submerged breakwaters, We also discuss the internal characteristics of the waves, as well as the skewness and the mechanisms of energy dissipation in different types of breakers. Our results show that there are some differences between breaking waves over submerged breakwaters and those breaking on a slope. In order to clarify the characteristics of breaking waves over submerged break waters, we have used the SMAC method.
