Multimedia Language Teaching Kits use computer, Internet, video, audiotape, and videodisk technologies. The Multimedia Language Teaching Kits could be very useful tools for English language teachers. The objective of this paper is to suggest how we can prepare students by using technology and multimedia in the teaching and learning of English as a foreign, second or additional language. The MMT would come in handy in teaching: Spoken English The requirements for Language Classroom Practices Methods to be followed in second Language Acquisition and Learning Language Evaluation Literature in English Language Teaching Phonology and the Teaching/Learning of Pronunciation etc. It means a change of educational focus, for it combines self-learning through multimedia material with appraisal and direct involvement by teachers in the learning process. As English language Teachers most of us dream of making our students become autonomous and capable of learning the use of language, particularly English Language, on their own. MM Techniques aid students to be a self learner, to work at their own individual pace, to be responsible for their learning, get more successful results.
