πΛΣ coupling extracted from hyperonic atoms -: art. no. 034003

摘要：
The latest measurements of the atomic level width in Sigma -hyperonic Pb atoms offer the most accurate datum in the region of low-energy Sigma -hyperon physics. Atomic widths are due to the SigmaN-LambdaN conversion which in high-angular-momentum states is dominated by one-pion exchange. A joint analysis of the Sigma (-)p --> Lambdan scattering data and atomic widths allows us to extract the pion-hyperon coupling constant f(pi Lambda Sigma)(2)(2)/4 pi = 0.048 +/-0.005 (stat) +/-0.004 (syst) or G(pi Lambda Sigma)(2) = 13.3+/- 1.4 (stat) +/-1.1 (syst).
