A Monte Carlo simulation of thermally activated spectral diffusion for an energetic and substitutionally disordered system

摘要
The dynamics and the mechanism of exchange-mediated spectral diffusion processes with energetic as well as substitutional disorder have been studied employing the Monte Carlo simulation technique. The thermally activated energy transfer has been incorporated in the simulation to investigate the temperature dependent characteristics of spectral diffusion. The importance of acceptor concentration, temperature and the excitation transfer topology for the onset of spectral diffusion has been pointed out. We observed that the onset of spectral diffusion depends sharply on temperature and at a fixed temperature on excitation transfer topology, acceptor concentration, and site-selective excitation.
