摘要
The design of a 4 x 4 Butler Matrix for use in a multibeam antenna array operating over a wide frequency band is presented. To achieve wideband characteristics, this beam-forming network uses two microstrip dielectric layers with coupling slots in a common ground plane. The designed device is compact in size and does not use crossovers. Its prototype is manufactured. Its performance is assessed via full-wave electromagnetic simulations and measurements.
