Optimal design of a toroidal transformer fed by non sinusoidal high frequency currents

摘要
A new magnetic material dynamic behaviour model, based on Preisach-Neel one, is used to optimise the geometry, the operating frequency, the input wave shape and the core material nature, of a small toroidal transformer, such as that used in power electronic devices. This model is linked to the primary and secondary windings through a bond graph representation. Magnetic losses are quantified in a way that cannot be reached by the classical theory and test results show very good agreement with simulation ones.
