Fabrication of array of nanoporous tin oxide nanorods with electrochemical processes

摘要
We present a novel and convenient process for fabrication of arrays of nanoporous tin oxide nanorods by electrodeposition of tin into anodic aluminum oxide membranes followed by anodization of tin nanorods to create nanochannels. The nanoporous tin oxide nanorods were 300-700 nm long and 250 nm in diam, with nanochannels of 15, 35 nm in diam. The specific surface area of the porous tin oxide nanorod array was 85 m(2)/g, at least ten times that of the corresponding solid tin nanorod array, and remained constant at temperatures up to at least 500 degrees C.
