摘要
A series of CaO samples were prepared and tested as a sorbent for global-warming CO2 gas by measuring their CO2 capture capacities at 700 degrees C using a TGA unit. It is demonstrated that average pore size in CaO sorbents plays the governing role in deciding sorbent CO2 capture capacity, and that average pore size overrides the contributions of surface areas or pore volume. Sufficiently large pores in a macro range were necessary in CaO to prevent pore-filling and plugging by the CaCO3 produced during the carbonation process. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
