摘要
In this work, the Jaya Algorithm was used to optimise the four input variables of two responses of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) for AISI D2 steel. Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (Ra) are considered as response functions, while pulse current (Ip), pulse on time (Ton), duty cycle (Tau) and gap voltage (V) are consider as input variable.. Multiple regression was used to predict quadratic polynomial models and the obtained models were combined to a single objective. Subsequently, a modern Jaya algorithm has been used to optimise the process parameters, and a optimal set of combination has been presented. The set of solutions will offer the experimenter to choose the best set of combination that maximize the MRR and simultaneously minimize the surface roughness. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
