This is the executive summary of one of two 1997 International Space University (ISU) Summer Session design projects compiled in Houston, TX by a group of ISU students. It focuses on the transfer of space technology to the non-space sector as a means of offsetting dwindling government support for space agencies and improving life in the global village. It presents various models and theories on technology transfer and makes a number of recommendations on how agencies can become involved in it. Copies of the full design project are available at a cost of FF200 from Ms Paivi McIntosh, ISU, Pare d'Innovation, Boulevard Gonthier d'Andernach, 67400 Illkirch Graffenstaden, France.
