Experimental signatures of the nuclear liquid-gas phase transition

摘要
The nuclear liquid-gas phase transition is of primary importance for describing and probing the equation of state of the nuclear matter. In this paper, we will review experimental results concerning the search of the liquid-gas phase transition of nuclear matter obtained during the past years for bombarding energies ranging from a few tens to a few hundreds MeV/nucleon. Results coming from exclusive measurements will be discussed and some specific issues will be emphasized. Different aspects related to the phase transition will be addressed, mainly based on multifragmentation studies, such as the fragmentation time scales, the critical exponents, the scaling laws, the caloric curves, the abnormal kinetic energy fluctuations and the spinodal decomposition.
