摘要
Low-carbon city is a very cutting-edge science and many countries are actively exploring ways to develop a low-carbon city. A reasonable evaluation system can provide scientific theoretical guidance for the construction of low-carbon city. The evaluation index system used in this paper includes three aspects: low-carbon economy, low-carbon development, and low-carbon society. Principal component analysis (PCA) method and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method are applied to assess the development of low-carbon city using data of Shenzhen city from 2005 to 2009. In addition, this paper puts forward solutions and suggestions to further low-carbon development of Shenzhen city.
