Vortex correlations in anisotropic type-II superconductors: A Monte Carlo study

The effects of vortex fluctuations on the phase diagram of clean, anisotropic, type-II superconductors placed in an external magnetic field, H, are investigated by Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of a lattice London model. These simulations are carried out for H parallel to the axis of anisotropy, and allow for finite penetration length lambda. Results for the dependence on the anisotropy parameter of the vortex-vortex correlation functions are reported. Particular emphasis is placed on the correlation functions that give information about the nature of the vortex-line liquid phase and its superconducting properties.*
