摘要
The precision and quality of kerfs, obtained by means of Abrasive Water Jet Cutting (AWJC), are determined by quality attributes, as kerf side surface texture, roughness and waviness, kerf width, taper, burr, kerf entrance radius, jet impinging surface roughening (skin roughening) and kerf side microhardness. This work is a contribution to the experimentation and analysis of these attributes for precision AWJC of metallic materials. Based on the analysis of experimental results, the formation, characterisation and classification of both micro-geometrical attributes, as kerf entrance radius, burr and taper, and physical attributes, as kerf surface integrity in terms of microhardness, are discussed and correlated with process variables and parameters.
