摘要
Direct strike, lightning induced voltage and currents are the main cause of Overhead Contact System (OCS) major Problems also called travelling wave that can harm OCS equipments. The substations of electrical railway and Overhead Contacts Systems (OCS) in JABODETABEK area has been built long time ago, but not in accordance with the concept of ligthning protection especially lightning protection in tropical area. Mismatch between the exisitng design and the concept of lightning protection made the OCS network very vulnerable to damage by direct lightning strike or indirect lightning strike.
