摘要
The objective of this study was to analyze knowledge management as a tool for improving academic efficiency in primary education institutions. It was based on the authors: Cegarra and Martinez (2017), North and Rivas (2008), Marin (2019), as the most relevant for the knowledge management category, as well as Hernandez et al. (2020), Rodriguez et al. (2015), were the most significant for academic efficiency. Methodologically, an interpretative-qualitative inquiry was carried out, prevailing a documentary-hermeneusis approach, for which 25 sources were consulted regarding the categories of analysis. The inclusion of the sources was oriented considering currentness and reliability as criteria. The search engines used were Google Books, Google Scholar. Among the conclusions obtained with this article is: Knowledge management has been presented in an incipient way in Colombia, being promoted by the Administrative Department of the Public Function (2022), currently its impact is taking place in different SMEs in the country which want to increase their competitiveness, in some state departments and agencies as a result of continuous training of their human resources. In the context of higher education institutions, they have shown greater progress, which is reflected in their research as well as the management processes oriented towards efficiency.
