Auxiliary ligand directed two new Zn(II) compounds: from 2D→3D polythreaded framework to 2-fold interpenetrated 3D framework

摘要:
Two new Zn(II) compounds, namely [Zn(tdc)(biimpy)](n)center dot x(solvent) (1) and {[NH2(CH3)(2)](2)[Zn-2(tdc)(3)(DABCO)]}(n) (2) (H(2)tdc = 2,5-thiophenedicarboxylic acid, biimpy = 2,6-bis(1-imidazolyl)pyridine, DABCO = 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane), were successfully synthesized via the solvothermal reactions of H(2)tdc and Zn(NO3)(2) together with biimpy or DABCO as the auxiliary ligand. Single crystal X-ray structural analyses revealed that compound 1 features a 2 D layered structure with 3-connected hcb topology and these 2 D layers are further packed into a 3 D supramolecular framework with 2 D -> 3D polythreaded motifs directed by intermolecular pi horizontal ellipsis pi interactions, and compound 2 features a 2-fold interpenetrated 3 D framework with lon topology. Moreover, the thermal stabilities and luminescent properties of these two compounds were also investigated.
