摘要
A mathematical model is introduced for the analysis of changes in the habitat of certain species and consequent migration processes. The weak formulation for the resulting partial differential non-linear equation is presented, as well as a linearization method. Existence and uniqueness results are analyzed. In addition, a numerical method is suggested. Finally, results from numerical simulations with empirical parameters are shown and discussed from an ecological point of view. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V.
