Conditions are determined under which axial modulation of the steady magnetic field affects significantly on the structure of the local Alfven resonance (AR) in quasi cylindrical plasma of fusion devices. Behavior of the Alfven waves (AW) electromagnetic fields within the AR region is studied utilizing the perturbation theory and approach of <<narrow slab>>.
