摘要
The Singapore education system has had unprecedented changes to the curriculum that includes Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Critical Thinking and National Education. These changes call for new pedagogies and integration of computers with classroom instructions and practices. This paper examines pedagogical perspectives and strategies of a teacher working to incorporate use of Internet resources and associated ICT tools into writing lessons in a secondary school. Drawing on evidence from lesson observations, teacher and students interviews and questionnaire, the researcher hopes to have understanding on how ICT is integrated into the teaching and learning of writing. The salient ideas and issues emerging from a writing project analysis are then summarized in terms of the following themes: Enhancing lesson resources through use of Internet material; Instrumenting use of ICT tools to support writing; Managing lesson relocation, room configuration and technical malfunction and; building and capitalizing on pupils' sense of capability.
