摘要：

stages of scouring and bleaching of cotton turn out to be critical in the production process since they are determinant in the scope of the quality parameters and specifications such as appearance, the presence of fatty substances and absorbency that, according to COVENIN 2982 standards, must be met for its production. commercialization. In this sense, this work evaluates the behavior that the exposure time exerts on these characteristics in each stage and the proportions of the reagents used in a real process. Thus, the fundamental factor that affects the scouring stage is the amount of caustic soda; while the amount of humectant, peroxide, and the interaction of temperature with caustic soda, are those that affect the bleaching stage.
