The effect of stress on the microstructural stability of CMSX-10 single crystal Ni-base superalloys

摘要
Stress has been shown to increase the amount of topologically close-packed (tcp) phases that form in some Ni-base superalloys. However, in the current study on CMSX-10, stress was shown to decrease the amount of tcp phases that formed after long-term exposures at 1050 degrees C. The stress did not affect the type, structure or orientation relationship of the tcp phases. (c) 2005 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
