摘要
Double-layer microstructure of tungsten oxide and zinc oxide is synthesized by two-step process at low temperature. XRD reveals that the microstructures are well crystalline. The defect-induced breakdown of the crystal symmetry can be deduced from the appearance of the wurtzite-ZnO silent modes in Raman spectra. The existence of the tungsten metal in the WOx is proposed for the generation of the defects. The improved sensing properties of the ZnO with WOx medialayer suggest that the synthesized structures could be used as gas sensor. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
