摘要
We present nb initio calculations of chemical shifts in a model molecule demonstrating that the N 1s photoemission peak at 398.3 eV can not be interpreted as due to nitrogen bonded to sp(3) carbon. This conclusion is also supported by x-ray absorption and photoemission experimental data.
