Mixed-State Microwave Response in Thin Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-δ Films

We report measurements of magnetic-field-dependent microwave response in YBCO superconducting thin films deposited on both LaAlO3 and Al2O3 monocrystalline substrates. From experimental studies of surface impedance and reactance shift, we obtain the magnetic-field dependences of complex resistivity for parallel and normal magnetic-field orientations relating to film surface. As shown, the investigated pinning constant, k(p), viscosity coefficient, eta, and depinning frequency, omega(p), do not depend on magnetic field between 0.2 T and 1 T. This indicates an individual-pinning mode realization for quasi-monocrystalline films investigated. We also observe the k(p), eta, omega(p) anisotropy under different magnetic-field orientation relative to crystallographic c axis. Findings are well described with strongly-individual-pinning model. Pinning-constant anisotropy features indicate the high concentration of extensive linear defects (dislocations) along the c axis.
