Oesophageal stenosis endoscopic management: a case in a dog and literature review

摘要：
A 15-month old female Terre-neuve female dog has exhibited a severe post-inflammatory stenosis of the thoracic oesophagus, following surgery undergone one month before. Main symptoms were severe dysorexia, odynophagia, regurgitations and weight loss. Final diagnosis was given by contrast radiographs and flexible oesophagoscopy. Treatment included endoscopic dilatation of the stenosis with balloon catheters of increasing sizes. This constitutes the first description in France of a successful non-surgical oesophageal stenosis treatment.
