摘要
Based on transforming the field area by conformal mapping method, the electrostatic energy of a charged rectangular coaxial line is obtained. Employing the principle of virtual work and the elliptic integrals, the electrostatic forces exerted on the walls are calculated. The general and specific natures of these forces are investigated. The charged square coaxial line is treated as a special case. Moreover, the results are presented using an expression convenient for computation of numerical values. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
