摘要
This paper describes the optimization of the rotor design for an established salient-pole synchronous generator. The main focus of this investigation is to make minimal change to the main rotor design and obtain a significant performance improvement. Therefore significant design constraints to the main rotor geometry have been imposed. This is to reduce impacts on manufacturing changes and hence total costs. This technical paper contains the analysis, design and validation of the optimized rotor design.
