摘要
In initial teacher training, the study of epistemology is a fundamental piece for future teachers to be able to philosophize about the reality of different educational contexts and ask themselves how to improve it from the principles that govern scientific research. Thus, thanks to the epistemological support, pedagogy students can be trained as teacher-researchers capable of analyzing the social changes proposed by the multiple realities and know how scientific knowledge of a given specialty is constructed. The purpose of this paper is to present a philosophical-epistemological reflection on the urgent need to develop epistemological knowledge in the initial training of mathematic and history teachers, considering the disciplinary, pedagogical and cognitive foundations of these areas.
