摘要
Rutile TiO(2) has been shown to be catalytically active in NO + CO conversion. An EPR and IR spectral study of TiO(2)-NO-CO, TiO(2)-NO, TiO(2)-O(2), and TiO(2)-O(2)-CO mixtures proved that oxygen radical ion is involved in various stages of gas conversion. The effect of partial decomposition of TiO(2) to Ti(III) is discussed. A stage mechanism is suggested to describe the participation of superoxide ions in NO + CO conversion on Ti(III) centers of TiO(2).
