摘要
This study explores design factors of public smoking facility that may promote its use to reduce tobacco health hazard in public places. Non-participant observation and questionnaire were carried out in Taiwan and Japan. Results from the study revealed that Taiwan smoking subjects exhibited greater reliance on sitting support than the Japanese. Japanese subjects have highest tendency to smoke near ashbins. Smoking subjects tend to extend their smoking territory when no physical, continuous boundary is provided for the smoking area.
