摘要
In this paper, performance evaluations of fixed and variable window size phasor estimation methods are carried out, especially in applications of short-circuit location in transmission lines (LTs). For this purpose, two fixed-window and one variable-window techniques reported in the literature are considered. The analyses are carried out through simulations of faults in a 230 kV/60 Hz power system modeled in the Alternative Transient Program (ATP) software, varying the location, the type and the angle of incidence of the disturbance. The results obtained indicate that the phasors calculated with the variable window technique enable more robustness in the estimation of fault locations, especially in the moments immediately after the occurrence of short circuits.
