摘要
Spherical carbon nanoparticles (nanocapsules), which are characterized by variable contrast on transmission electron-microscopic images, have been found in T-10 tokamak. The observed contrast variation indicates that the material density at the center of nanoparticles is two to three times lower that that at the periphery. The nanocapsules possess outer diameters within 15-40 nm at a wall thickness of 3-9 nm. In addition, the carbon nanocapsules contain iron at an amount of similar to 0.1%. The possible role of these nanoparticles in the accumulation of tritium in nuclear fusion reactors is considered.
