摘要：

This paper describes usefulness of artificial intelligence techniques for power system protection applications. Use of Expert Systems, Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks for specific applications such as fault detection, fault location are identified and discussed. Sample results are presented in the form of case studies. The paper also highlights current research work being undertaken by the authors in the area of intelligent relaying.
