摘要：

A method for protecting iron-carbon alloys from oxidation and decarburization during heat treatment in muffle and bell furnaces without use of the protective atmosphere of a producer gas or its mixture with natural gas, an inert atmosphere, or vacuum. Several examples of the use of the method in the industry are presented.
