INFLUENCE OF POLARIZATION CONDITIONS ON THE PHOTOLUMINESCENT AND ELECTRET PROPERTIES OF POLYMER NANOCOMPOSITES BASED ON PP+TiO2

摘要
In this paper, the influence of the polarization condition on the photoluminescent and electret properties of PP+TiO2 polymer nanocomposites was studied. It was found that the intensity of the internal local field of injected charges is 30.38 KV/m for PP+1%TiO2 nanocomposite exposed to the corona discharge. However, for the nanocomposite exposed to electrothermopolarization, that value is 54.05 KV/m. Furthermore, the activation energies of the sub-surface charges were calculated and founded the value of 0.89 eV and 1.23 eV for PP+1%TiO2 nanocomposite treated by corona discharge and electrothermopolarization, respectively. It was also found that the value of the surface density of electret charges a is higher for nanocomposite that exposed to corona discharge than that of electrothermopolarization. By contrast, the amount of stable electret charge sigma is higher for composites treated by electrothermopolarization than that of corona discharge. Consequently, it was determined that the volume polarization charges play a significant role in the formation of the electret effect in composites, i.e., the change in the electret properties of nanocomposite depending on the polarization mode is mainly associated with a change in the supramolecular structure of the polymer and the conditions for stabilization of charges in them
