摘要
The fracture toughness of 8YSZ thin foils under biaxial and uniaxial plane tension was investigated using a thermomechanical method. The influence of the stress parallel to the crack on the crack driving force was confirmed for ceramics in plane stress state. It was, indicated that the measured fracture toughness increases with biaxiality ratio and with loading rate.
