The vocational skills training for higher vocational college students, includes not only the study of the professional knowledge and professional technology, which are dominant. It's also including the development of the vocational accomplishment, which is recessive. The key of that the professional skills can be converted into vocational skills, is recessive vocational accomplishment. English as a foundation course, because of its own characteristics, plays an important role in the development of higher vocational students' vocational accomplishment. In this paper, based on the actual situation of vocational college students, and combined with the characteristic of the English course, we put forward a way for the reform of English teaching mode which used in the development of higher vocational students' professional skills training.
