摘要：

Globalization has very important consequences on the prevalence of the nation-state in the global political and economic affairs, on its ability to continue to manifest its sovereignty, within the same parameters. Globalization transforms the world politics, and thus the global power, a power that is no longer tends to be organized along territorial boundaries, due to the increased impact that sub- and supra-national organizations have. In such a context, the American world leadership, so obvious twenty years ago, and somehow even accepted, is faced with some great challenges which could determine the future global project.
