This paper presents a new mode radiant-cooling air-conditioning system that is based on the infrared-transparent glass for resolving the ubiquitous issue in radiant-cooling system practice that the temperature of radiant-panel is too high so low radiant heat-transfer energy is provided. In this new system, radiant-panel was enclosed by infrared-transparent glass so the former direct heat convection between radiant panel and indoor air does not occur again, which means the temperature of radiant panel can be set to a quite low level. This article also establishes the heat transfer model of the infrared-transparent glass enclosure, analyzes and computes heat transfer of this radiant and convection system. In the end, discusses the relative factors affecting the heat transfer coefficient thus demonstrates the feasibility of this new mode.
