摘要
Investigating the philosophical project of S.L. Frank the author of the paper O.A. Nazarova identified it as a classical metaphysical project in which two spiritual realities man and society are considered to be based in the absolute being. Frank analyses the essence and interrelation of three spiritual spheres of being the Absolute spirit, the finite spirit and the social (collective) spirit. Accordingly, his philosophy performed in the successive change of its parts: the metaphysics of cognition (The Object of Knowledge, 1915), the metaphysics of particular human being (Man's Soul, 1917), the metaphysics of social being (Spiritual Foundations of Society, 1930), the religious philosophy (The Unfathomable, 1939). The author shows that though Frank perceives impulses from the leading philosophical tradition of his time phenomenology, he critically assesses the late Husserl's philosophy and develops phenomenology in the metaphysical direction. Thus he becomes solidary with real phenomenology, the main trend within the phenomenological movement (M. Scheler, H. Conrad-Martius). In the end the author concludes that Frank's philosophical project can be described as onto-phenomenological.
