摘要
Director's cut: Not only conventional alcohols but also silanols can act as directing groups in oxidative palladium(II)-catalyzed C-H alkenylations. The silicon-tethered hydroxy groups are traceless, thereby facilitating the regioselective C-H activation of toluene derivitives as well as phenols (see scheme). © 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
