摘要
In this paper, the possibility of on-machine monitoring of the dulling and loading of the working surface of the grinding wheel is considered based on the relative frequency distribution of its profile measured by the laser micrometer. The following results are obtained: 1) With the progress of the dulling, the spiky pattern occurs on the relative frequency distribution. 2) With the progress of the loading, the shift of the relative frequency distribution to the plus side and the swelling up at the plus area of the distribution occur. 3) The shift corresponds to the deposition type loading, and the swelling-up corresponds to the welding type loading. 4) The progress of the dulling and two types of the loading are possible to be monitored using the spiky pattern, the shift and the swelling up of the relative frequency distribution.
