A self-assembled 2D molecule-based magnet:: The honeycomb layered material {Co3Cl4(H2O)2[Co(Hbbiz)3]2}

摘要
A novel 2D coordination compound, {[Co3Cl4(H2O)2[Co (Hbbiz)3]2·3 C7H8·9- CH3OH}∞ has been prepared and characterized. The compound (see picture) consists of a honeycomb structural motif of twelve-membered rings composed of alternating octahedral and tetrahedral Co11 ions and the bridging ligand 2,2′-bibenzimidazole (Hbbiz). Magnetic ordering is observed below Tc = 9 K (Tc = Curie temperature).
