摘要：
During the last 10 years, papilloma virus has emerged as the major etiologic agent for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma. This HPV-related oropharyngeal carcinoma needs to be considered as a new entity given its epidemiologic, prognostic and histological specificities. The actual knowledge of natural history of oral HPV infection has been discussed. The current review summarizes the different techniques available to detect the virus in order to treat the patients.
