摘要
As our understanding of pathophysiology has evolved from the cellular to the biomolecular level, powerful techniques of restoring function have been developed that expand the capability of reconstructive surgery. This article describes strategies used to replace a dysfunctional gene, protein, cell, tissue, or organ with a functional copy and provides a conceptual framework of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
